Technical & Commercial FAQ

Engineering transparency, defined upfront.

Direct specifications, sample policies, tooling capabilities, and verification protocols for overseas lighting contractors, architectural engineers, and commercial distributors.

01 Sampling & MOQ Policies

3 Questions
Do you enforce a minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

No hard MOQ. We purposefully structure our lines for B2B engineering flexibility:

  • Prototyping & Site Mockups: 1-2 pieces for lighting simulation, physical cut-out fit, and architectural client approval.
  • Small-Batch Pilots: 20-100 pieces for pilot rooms, phased fit-outs, or retail test stores.
  • Full Scale Production: Scalable volume orders with batch-locked color binning and dedicated assembly stations.
What is your sample fee and refund policy?

Sample production requires manual configuration, driver calibration, and dedicated burn-in testing. We charge standard sample fees upon order confirmation.

100% Fee Credited: The sample product cost is completely refunded or credited toward your balance once a commercial batch order for that model is finalized.

Notice: Overseas courier charges (DHL/FedEx/TNT) and destination customs clearance taxes remain the responsibility of the client.

What is the typical turnaround time for customized sample units?

For standard private-mold configurations (custom CCT, specific beam optics, powder coat finish, and DALI/0-10V driver integration): 7 to 12 business days including thermal check and photometric testing. Complex mechanical modifications take approximately 14-18 business days.

02 Private Mold & Customization Limits

3 Questions
What parameters can be modified without opening a new die-casting mold?

Using our existing private molds (downlights, architectural spot tracks, linear pendant profiles, and magnetic track inserts), you can configure without any retooling cost:

Photometric & Electronic CCT (2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, 5000K), Dim-to-Warm, Tunable White, CRI 90 / 97 (Ra & R9), Wattage derating or boost, Beam lenses (15°/24°/36°/60°).
Mechanical & Aesthetics Reflector finish (matte black, specular, gold, bronze), anti-glare honeycomb louvers, custom RAL powder coating, and specialized ceiling trim rings.
What are the costs, timeline, and terms for developing a completely new proprietary mold?

When tender designs require non-standard geometries, bespoke architectural heat sink profiles, or proprietary optical chambers:

  • Tooling Cost: Typically $1,800 to $4,500 USD depending on die size, number of cavities, and secondary CNC requirements. All tooling costs are born by the client.
  • Development Cycle: 45 to 60 days from 3D CAD sign-off to T1 initial cast sample and photometric thermal evaluation.
  • Exclusivity & NDA: Non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) protect your ownership of the exterior industrial profile. We will never release proprietary tooling designs into public catalogs.
Can indoor fixtures be adapted for outdoor project points?

Our core focus is indoor architectural lighting (downlights, magnetic track systems, linear profiles). While we accommodate ancillary outdoor luminaires for unified project packages, we do not simply add silicone glue to indoor housings. Genuine outdoor fixtures require engineered breathable pressure valves, double-molded silicone gaskets, anti-corrosion marine-grade anodizing, and verified IP65/IP66 ingress seals to counter condensation and optical fogging.

03 Quality Control & Verification

3 Questions
What mandatory testing protocols are performed on batch orders?

Every commercial luminaire passes through an irreversible 4-stage inspection sequence inside our Shenzhen plant:

  1. Incoming Component Check (IQC): LED forward voltage check, LED color binning audit, and driver high-pot testing.
  2. 100% Thermal Burn-In Aging: 4 to 8 hours continuous full-load burn-in with high-cycle automated ON/OFF switches (shock testing driver capacitors).
  3. Photometric & Visual QC (FQC): CCT tolerance validation via integrating sphere, optical centering check, surface coating inspection.
  4. High Voltage Withstand Test: Electrical insulation and grounding continuity verification per CE/IEC 60598.
How is pre-shipment inspection handled for overseas clients?

Because international travel for site audits is expensive, we provide complete pre-dispatch video verification. Before balance payment, we share high-definition footage of your finished lot undergoing burn-in, random unboxing, label inspection, and carton drop-test condition. Third-party inspection agents (SGS, TÜV, Bureau Veritas) are fully accommodated upon request.

How do you prevent batch color deviation (SDCM) across multiple project phases?

Color variation is the most prevalent failure mode in phased hospitality and commercial build-outs. We lock BOM specifications to tier-one LED packaging (Bridgelux, Citizen, Cree, OSRAM) with strict MacAdam Ellipse ≤ 3 SDCM single-bin guarantees. Batch wafer codes are logged under your project number to ensure subsequent repeat phases match existing light warmth.

04 Certifications, Photometrics & Drivers

2 Questions
Do you provide genuine IES/LDT test files and tender compliance reports?

Yes. Every optical configuration is measured in goniophotometer darkrooms. We supply:

  • IES & LDT Photometric curves: Formatted for immediate import into DIALux and Relux lighting design software.
  • LM-80 / TM-21 Reports: Verifying LED lumen maintenance, thermal degradation resistance, and expected lifespan (L90B10 > 50,000 hrs).
  • Regulatory Compliance: Authentic CE (LVD + EMC), RoHS, EU ErP Energy Efficiency rating dossiers, and SASO/Saber compliance for GCC tenders.
Which dimming protocols and driver manufacturers do you support?

Driver failure and dimmer incompatibilities are the leading cause of project site recalls. To eliminate this risk, we assemble only with certified driver brands matched to your local BMS system:

DALI-2 / Push-DIM (Tridonic, Philips, Lifud) 0-10V / 1-10V Dimming Phase-Cut (TRIAC / Trailing Edge) Zigbee / Casambi BLE Mesh Wireless

05 Commercial Terms & Warranty Execution

2 Questions
What are your payment terms and trade clauses?

To maintain strict control over our raw materials and avoid cashflow-driven component downgrades, we adhere strictly to transparent B2B payment rules:

  • Terms: 30% advance deposit to schedule production and procure materials; 70% balance settled after final QC approval and prior to dispatch.
  • Incoterms: Default pricing is EXW Shenzhen. FOB Shenzhen or CIF destination sea/air freight quotes can be provided upon request.
  • No Open Account (OA): We do not offer credit, deferred OA terms, or letter-of-credit financing.
How is warranty and after-sales service executed internationally?

Standard commercial luminaires carry a 3-year to 5-year replacement warranty. As an overseas factory exporter without local maintenance crews, our warranty policy operates via expedited parts replacement:

In the rare event of driver failure or optical defect verified via photos/video, replacement modules or matched driver units are airfreighted immediately (for urgent site handover) or included alongside your next replenishment container. Locked BOM records guarantee that replacement electronics will match original site parameters without color mismatch.
